Ingredients:
- Bombay Rawa 1cup (50g)
- Tomato 1
- Carrot 1/2
- Onion 1
- Green chilli 2
- Ginger 1inch peice
- Gee (or) Oil 2tsps
- Water 3 1/2cups (150ml)
- Termeric powder 2pinches
- Popu (tuvar dal, urad dal, avalu, cumin seeds, dry chilli) 15g
- Cashew nuts 25g
- Curry leaves
- Corrinder
- Salt as per taste
- Take a bowl and fry rawa with out gee.
- Chope the tomato, green chillis, ginger, carrot, corrinder. Cut the onion like slices.
- Take a pan and prepare popu. Add cashew nuts, curry leaves and make it fry.
- Add onion slices, choped chillis, salt to the popu and make it fry.
- Add choped carrot, tomato, termeric powder and make it fry upto carrot is partically cook.
- Add water to the pan boil the water upto some bubbles coming on the top.
- Now reduce the heat release fried rawa into the water slowly and stirring with spoon.
- Mix it well and close the pan with a palte.
- Cook upto 3-4mins.Remove the plate and mix it well.
- Add Choped corrinder to the pan and mix it well.
- Now Tomato Bath is ready serve hotly with sugar, bombay chutney, papu chutney, sambar.
- In this recepie i fried the rawa. why because with out fring the rawa when we realising in to the water some lumps are fprming. To avoid that lumps i fried rawa here.
- It also gives some additional taste to the upma.
- If you want to prepare upma with out fring the rawa then 2-2 1/2cups water is enough.
