Bitter Gourd Curry (Kakara Kaya Fry with Papu Karam)

Ingredients:

Bitter Gourd  500g
Onion 1
Oil  5tsps
Dry Chilli Powder  3sps
Garlic Cloves 2
Roasted Bengal Gram (Putnala papu)  4tsps
Cumin seeds 1/2spn
Popu (Turvar dal,Urad dal,dry chillli,Avalu,Cumin seeds,Inguva)
Curry leaves
Salt as per taste

Process for Papu karam:

Grind: Cumin seeds, Roasted bengal gram, Dry chilli powder, Salt and Garlic Cloves.

Process:

  1. Clean and peel the bittter gourd and cut in sllices.
  2. Add some salt to spices and just mix with spoon.
  3. Wait for 10mins.
  4. Take a pan add some oil.
  5. Slices release some water take it out and just press with hands and release them into boiled oil.
  6. Make it fry till golden brown.
  7. Take another pan and add oil add prepare popu. add onion slices to popu and make it fry.
  8. Add fried Bittergourd sllices,add papu karam. and mix it.keep on heat upto 2 min.
  9. Take it into serving boul and serve it.
